I'm probably a lot like you.
I used to live a life of anxiety, worry, stress, and general uneasiness.
I honestly think this was because I was worried about the past, which had an effect on my future.
It's not that I had done anything wrong, it was just I kep thinking: What if I had done that differently? Why did I do that? What's going to happen because of this? When will it all get better?
I mean no matter what I did I just felt things were not going my way, while things were going, it seemed I was just being pushed, rather than leading
I realised what I had been missing
I mean I should have realised this all along, but as they say sometimes the answer is right in front of you but you can't see the wood from the trees!
Honestly, I was a little skeptical at first, thinking it was a bit woo woo. But, it seemed to work, The more I did the easier it became.
Fast forward to today, and I am living a better live, with less anxiety, less stress and more fun (sure I still get stressed but not as much).
Finally I felt more free.
So what was this marvellous discovery?
And like you, I just couldn't seem to
get things to go my way

I mean I tried everything, reading the greatest self help books, setting enormous goals, setting small goals, not setting goals.
Everything
And nothing seemed to work.
But one day while I was visiting Ireland, I happened into a bookstore and saw book that changed everything.
On a whim, I bought it, and what happened next was quite simply amazing.
Simple: I learnt how to be more
mindful
It does seem simple, but I learnt that we have to human beings not human doings.
I mean we do so much but never seem to be right?
Always running around, thinking about what we must do next, but never just taking it easy and disconnecting.
I mean I did the whole corporate thing (lasted just under 10 years) and then said enough is enough.
Most people don't live in the moment
They are too concerned with what has happened or what might happen.
